Pre-built performance management scorecards and dashboards to improve patient care in healthcare organizations

Information Builders, a provider of business intelligence services, has launched the first module of its Integrated Health Intelligence platform, a new Clinical Management Reporting and Analytics application.

The company said that Integrated Health Intelligence Clinical Management Reporting and Analytics (IHI CMRA) provides healthcare organizations with an enterprise platform for clinical business intelligence (BI) with pre-built performance management scorecards and dashboards; secure, role-based, self-service operational reporting; advanced ad hoc analytics; and enterprise search.

The company also said that Information Builders IHI CMRA provides an enterprise BI platform for delivering clinical information across departments, service lines, episodes, and patients to improve patient care and operational efficiency.

According to the company, IHI CMRA includes clinical dashboards and scorecards, pre-defined reports, and visual analytics built on top of a data-model. The application is claimed to address users' reporting and analysis requirements in four key areas: clinical performance management, analytics, operational reporting, and enterprise search. Capabilities in each area include: clinical performance management; analytics; operational reporting; and enterprise search.

Gerald Cohen, president and CEO of Information Builders, said: The need for clinical personnel to quickly have access to accurate information is increasingly important as healthcare organizations strive to eliminate medical errors, improve clinical outcomes, and productivity. BI and integration technologies are making it possible for everyone involved to make better decisions to improve the quality of patient care in our country.
