Oracle releases new ‘Oracle Warehouse Management’ solution

CBR Staff Writer Published 02 June 2009

To improve planning and manage distribution center workflow

Oracle has introduced Oracle Warehouse Management, a new warehouse management solution. The new solution can be deployed as a distributed solution or as part of the Oracle E-Business Suite.

The company said that new solution supports high volume facilities through new capabilities such as advanced wave planning, task planning and high-volume performance.

The new solution would provide planning and execution capabilities that allow warehouse managers to improve planning and manage distribution center workflow.

In addition, the new solution is expected to provide visibility into inventories to help manage and process orders.

Jon Chorley, vice president of Supply Chain Product Strategy at Oracle, said: “Oracle has always been committed to delivering best-in-class warehouse management capabilities through Oracle Warehouse Management. This expanded functionality combined with more integrated logistics capabilities and a new distributed deployment option is further proof of this commitment.”
