SAP launches BI and EIM offerings

Combines structured and unstructured information and provides the tools to govern the information

SAP has launched the 4.0 version of business intelligence (BI) and enterprise information management (EIM) offerings from its BusinessObjects portfolio.

The new offerings are unified on a common infrastructure and provide real time; in-memory computing; supports mobile devices; across business and social data, combining structured and unstructured information and providing the tools to govern the information.

The offering also provides deployment model, whether on-premise, on-demand, embedded in business operations, or in a "hybrid" manner.

In addition, the offering provides visualisation supports to end-user requirements with the company's Crystal offerings like Crystal Reports software, and other BI software such as BusinessObjects Explorer, BusinessObjects Dashboards and BusinessObjects Web Intelligence, and StreamWork application.

The offering also provides easy integration with enterprise performance management (EPM) and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) offerings from SAP to allow seamless visibility of performance and risk in business analytic scenarios.

The new 4.0 BI and EIM offerings features include: real-time in-memory computing; easy, mobile BI on any device; and business and social data with confidence.

Further, the 4.0 releases include the following software: BusinessObjects Data Services software; BusinessObjects Information Steward; BusinessObjects Event Insight; and BusinessObjects Business Intelligence.
