SAS unveils Rapid Predictive Modeler for business users

CBR Staff Writer Published 03 September 2010

Claims to process the input variables and selects the best predictive model

SAS, a provider of business analytics software and services, has unveiled Rapid Predictive Modeler that develops predictive models to address an array of business scenarios.

The company said that the new offerings allow business users to select data and choose inputs for the outcome they desire, and the software processes the input variables and selects the best predictive model.

The Dow Chemical advanced analytics group manager Tim Rey said that early in the process, users get to see if their target outcomes are likely to be explained by the input variables they chose, saving time by providing a quick reality check.

"SAS Rapid Predictive Modeler also ensures best practices are used for both the data mining methodology and processes so we can maximise both accuracy and ROI," Rey added.

The company said that the Rapid Predictive Modeler is now available worldwide.
